Our School

Penshurst Primary School is part of The Hessle Academy, a through-school educating over 1800 learners aged 3-19.

At Penshurst, we provide a warm and friendly environment where children are nurtured and supported to take their first steps on a journey of development and success. Our dedicated staff and leaders are committed to ensuring that children enjoy their learning and have developed a curriculum that instils curiosity and wonder in the world we live in. 'Learning to read, reading to learn and reading for pleasure' are common golden threads in school, along with a 'can-do' attitude. As part of our commitment to a sustainable future for all, our pupils have the opportunity to take part in a range of impactful initiatives including Eco Club, Forest School and Gardening Club.
